Memory II
(Time Revisited)
Antoni Jach
The arrow of time pierces
right through to the heart.
The sky colludes with all
humanity in its watchful quietude.
The horizon flows around
its hillside under a house of sky.
Everyday objects hold their
place. Atoms and the void.
Life is motionless, still
and calm.
The spider lies down with
the lamb.
The wheel of time revolves
through sheets of implacable sky.
A maternal world. The sun
struggling to emerge. Simple objects cling desperately to the
firmament. The wind blows the deterministic future away.
